Next the giclee prints are curated and checked for any misprints or other flaws. We often add a giclee varnish layer to protect and enhance the giclees. It can be a subtle satin giclee varnish or a more glossy finish. For a more dramatic gloss finish, a UV cured coating can be applied to the fine art print. A varnish will increase the richness of the colors in the print as well as increase the contrast between the dark and the light areas.
